I let go of New Year’s Resolutions several years ago because they were often focused on weight loss and diets with a repeated cycle of failure and disappointment. By discarding traditional resolutions, I adopted affirming “words” of the year instead. I also found things to focus on other than my appearance and found ways to help myself feel grounded and more empowered.
